Public comment replies

Optionally reply on the comment thread so people know to check their Instagram inbox for the DM.

Short answer: On a Post or Reel Comments trigger, the optional Reply Message field is posted as a public comment. Keep it short (‘Sent to your DMs 📬’). The private DM is a separate Send Message node. Live comments only allow a private reply — Instagram does not let apps answer live comments in public.

Fill Reply Message with a short public line.
Connect a Send Message node for the actual DM.

The public reply is a nudge, not the offer. Instagram lets your app comment back so the person knows a DM is waiting.

Set it

Edit the Post or Reel Comments trigger.
In Reply Message (Optional), write one short line.
Save. That text is posted under their comment.
The private content lives on Send Message (or carousel / AI).

Do not paste your URL in the public comment if you want them in DMs. Public links leak; DMs convert.

Lives are different

Can I rotate several public replies?

The trigger stores one Reply Message. Keep it generic. Variety belongs in the private DM, not in a list of spam-like public clones.
