Instagram lets a connected app hear a new comment and answer in DMs. That is the whole growth loop: public proof, private link.
In the app
- Go to Automation → New.
- Platform Instagram, type Reply to Comment / DM / Live / Story.
- On the trigger, choose Post or Reel Comments.
- Pick a specific post/Reel or all posts.
- Under Condition → contains, add keywords (
link,price,size) or leave empty for any comment. - Optional Reply Message — this is posted on the comment (public), e.g. “Sent to your DMs 📬”.
- Connect Send Message for the private DM. Add buttons, a follow check, Collect Input, a carousel, or AI.
- Toggle Live.
Matching rules
- Keywords use contains (not only exact match).
pricematches “What’s the price?”. - Add a few spellings:
link,lnk,send. - Public replies should stay short. The sale happens in the DM.
After they open the DM
