Instagram is where they discover you. WhatsApp is where a lot of them actually buy. Instagram lets you put a Continue on WhatsApp button in the DM; Meta lets you automate the WhatsApp side once they write.
Connect
Follow Connect WhatsApp. The number must show Active.
Reply to inbound WhatsApp
- Automation → New → WhatsApp → Reply to DM.
- Keywords or any message.
- WhatsApp message nodes, Collect Input, AI, carousel, email.
- Live.
Service messages work for 24 hours after their last message. If they go quiet, they must write again.
Handoff from Instagram
On an Instagram Send Message, add Delegate to WhatsApp. The button opens WhatsApp with your business number and a note (course name, order, “I came from Instagram”).
New accounts include a Funnel Insta User to WhatsApp draft. Edit copy, go Live.
This is not a Broadcast DM blast. It is a continuation of a chat they started.
